Einführung in die IT-Sicherheit

This is a compulsory course for Bachelor students of computer science, in which they should learn the basics of IT security. In addition to well-known basic concepts, the course covers threat and risk analysis, the fundamentals of cryptography, social engineering, security of single devices, network security and an introduction to penetration testing. The course is designed to have a strong practical focus. Successful participation in the lab exercises is a prerequisite for admission to the written examination.

This course for undergraduate students is taught annually at Kiel University of Applied Sciences during the summer semester.
