Sicherheitsprobleme und -herausforderungen beim autonomen Fahren

Individual mobility is currently undergoing a change to meet future challenges. Autonomous driving could play an important role in the mobility of the future as it could provide an efficient and low-accident form of transport. However, in the (German) population there is much mistrust regarding the security against “hacker attacks”. This report therefore outlines various threat scenarios related to autonomous driving and its countermeasures. Attacks on the internal and external communication of the vehicles, their sensors and their decision making center are presented. The consideration of these attack options is necessary to ensure the security by design of autonomous vehicles.
