Abstract
The AutoDrive project brings together an innovative pan-European ecosystem consisting of 61 partners representing leading semiconductor companies, vehicle manufacturers, electronic system integrators, renown research institutes, and small-medium size enterprises (SMEs). Key objective is the development of advanced electronic components and systems for autonomous vehicles to provide fail-operational functions using novel architectures with increased reliability to manage and balance complexity, cost, robustness, and flexibility. Safety and security are among biggest challenges of autonomous driving. The AutoDrive partners develop advanced fail-aware, fail-safe, and fail-operational electronic components, systems, and architectures for highly and fully automated driving, providing the implementation of safety in nine demonstrators being evaluated in different cities and countries across Europe.
