Abstract
Through the Internet of Things, more devices from the automation sector are connected to the Internet. These are mainly low-power sensors and actuators that control physical processes. This results in security risks in industrial control systems, which will be described in this paper. The challenges involved in securing these devices are outlined. Physical Unclonable Functions, which are a promising countermeasure, will be briefly presented.
